Terms of Service
Acceptance
By accessing or using gitlogy.com (the "Site"), including the TLS posture checker and any associated API (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
Who we are
gitlogy is an independent DevSecOps consultancy. We provide two types of offering through this Site:
- Free tooling — the public TLS / certificate / DNS / HTTP-header posture checker at /scan and its JSON API at
/api/scan. - Paid consulting — fixed-scope engagements for CI/CD pipeline engineering, GitOps delivery, infrastructure-as-code, secrets management, supply-chain security, and related work. Consulting engagements are governed by a separate Statement of Work agreed with each client.
Acceptable use of the TLS scanner
You may use the TLS scanner and its API for any lawful purpose, including integrating it into CI/CD pipelines to gate deployments on security posture. You agree not to:
- Scan domains that you do not own or have explicit written authorisation to test.
- Conduct high-volume automated scanning in a manner that degrades availability for other users. We impose rate limits; please respect them.
- Use the Service to facilitate attacks, reconnaissance, or any other activity that is illegal in your jurisdiction or harmful to third parties.
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or any other technical control on the Service.
We reserve the right to block IP addresses or ranges that violate these terms without notice.
No warranty on accuracy
The TLS scanner provides security posture information on a best-effort basis. Scan results are derived from active probing of the target host at the moment of the request. They reflect the configuration observed at that point in time and may not reflect changes made before or after the scan.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy. You should not rely solely on scan results for compliance certification, penetration test reporting, or any other purpose that requires authoritative assessment.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, gitlogy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising out of or relating to your use of the Site or Service, even if gitlogy has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid gitlogy in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.
Intellectual property
The Site, Service, brand, and all content thereon are owned by gitlogy or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on the Site without prior written permission.
The scan API response format and data are provided for your own operational use. Building a competing public scanner that proxies or rebrands our API output is not permitted.
Third-party services
The Site embeds Google Analytics and Google AdSense, which are subject to Google's own terms and privacy policies. The TLS scanner optionally calls the Anthropic API to generate AI analysis; this is subject to Anthropic's terms of service. We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party providers.
Availability and changes
We provide the free tooling on a reasonable-efforts basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without liability. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which gitlogy is established. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first; failing that, in the courts of that jurisdiction.
